Day 8 - Reception venue? Theme?

I’m absolutely infatuated with the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, MA. It’s beautiful, historical, and in my absolute favorite part of the state. Salem is stunning and crazy interesting regardless, but it’s also on the water which would lend to excellent photo opportunities. Also, the hotel is apparently haunted. And while this scares the crap out of me, it’s a quirk I like.

As for themes, this is where I need David Tutera’s help. First off, colors are critical. Red, ivory, black, gold, etc. Damask is a design concept I quite like as well. Then, I want to employ some Irish/Celtic traditions. My wedding will be on a Sunday, no ifs, ands, or buts. I’d like to include a claddagh or two somewhere as well, and Irish lace for sure. I’d also like the have distance be a key element of my wedding. Where those things all come together, I have no idea.
